Maddow Trumps Herself

Comparisons to Geraldo Rivera's "gee, we found some old car parts in Al Capone's vault" prime time fiasco appear to be well deserved. Rachel Maddow made it sound like she had some serious juice but it really turned out to be just a lemon. The thing that gets me about this is Rachel Maddow is not a stupid woman. Surely she had to know not only would paying a higher effective tax rate than, say Bernie Sanders not hurt Trump, it would also show that he clearly didn't avoid paying taxes for 18 years as Hillary and most of the MSM said. She literally just busted an entire running gag of fake news while attempting to create more fake news! How could she not know this? What was she thinking?

Here is what I think. Her judgment and her intellect have been completely short circuited by an overwhelming hate. Remember, this is the "news" person who said:

"You’re awake by the way. You’re not having a terrible, terrible dream. Also you’re not dead and you haven’t gone to hell. This is your life now. This is our election now. This is us. This is our country. It’s real."

Maddow attempted to weave, to create, a negative story out of nothing. That is exactly the kind of fake news the MSM has been foisting off on the public from the day Trump announced his campaign. Any semblance or pretext of actual journalism on her part has been discarded now. But that is really nothing new to me. I have listened to her so called "journalism" for a number of years. She is not a journalist. She is an activist. She has an agenda which means far more to her than actual truth.

What would a real journalist have done? Well, just reporting the facts might have been nice. Which is basically what nearly everyone else not named Rachel Maddow did. He made this much, paid that much in taxes, which comes to 25%, and that compares very favorably to what other wealthy individuals such as Obama, Sanders, and Romney pay.

Which leads me to say this. You should be awake by now. You are not having a bad dream. This is our country. This is real. This is our news media.
